Hi there! Sorry for not posting yesterday, I was really under the weather! Much better today, have to be as my next race is on the 14th in preparation for the Marathon at the end of January!
Ok, enough of that, onto something more creative. Here is another card I made this morning for the Caring Hearts Card Drive.
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Vellum
Ink: Clear Embossing ink, Copics, Memento Tuxedo Black, Black Staz-On, Brushed Corduroy & Scattered Straw Distress Ink.
Stamps: Hero Arts Background Flourish & sentiment, Digital Poinsettia from dzdoodles
Other: Gold Embossing Powder, Gold Pearl
I stamped the Flourish stamp with clear embossing ink and heat embossed it after applying gold embossing powder. I then lightly inked the entire surface with Scaterred Straw Distress ink, and the edges with Brushed Corduroy Distress ink. The Poinsettia was stamped, coloured with Copics, cut out and adhered to the flourish panel. I adhered the pearl to the flower centre using my trusted Glossy Accents as my preferred glue! The sentiment was stamped using Staz-on onto a strip of clear vellum.
I really like how the gold embossed flourish turned out as a background and added some "class" to the card in such a simple way.
Well, I am off to try and create a few more cards this evening in the hope of seeing you back here tomorrow. Thanks for popping by, leave me a comment, I love hearing from you.

More Christmas Trees... (WMC29)
Today I am posting another Christmas card where I used the clear tree stamp from Hero Arts. And I have decided to enter this card in the Wee Memories Challenge, this weeks' theme is "free for all".
Paper: PTI
Stamps: Hero Arts, PTI (text)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Brushed Corduroy & Peeled Paint Distress Ink
Other: Hero Art gems, Bell, Twine
I first stamped the bottom of the kraft card with a PTI text stamp from their Christmas Background Stamp set, using the Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. I punched two strips of cardstock with an EK Success lace punch and wrapped some twine around it and adhered these above the text. The two trees were stamped, cut out and inked with Peeled Paint and Brushed Corduroy Distress ink, and adhered to the Rustic White cardstock which was also inked around the edges with the same Brushed Corduroy ink. A few gems, a sentiment, a little bell and there you have it!
I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for visiting my blog. Leave me a comment, I love to read each one!

Crackle Accents
I am posting tonight for tomorrow as I have a hectic day ahead of me.
Paper: PapertreyInk, DCWV
Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink: Copics, Memento Tuxedo Black
Other: Ranger Crackle Accent, Eyelet, Ribbon
This is a clean and simple card, some PTI and DCWV paper. The ornament is from Hero Arts' Magic of Christmas clear stamp set. I coloured it with Copics and then applied Ranger Crackle Accent to the centre piece. I hung the ornament with a ribbon coloured with the same green Copic marker, and threaded it through an eyelet.
Thank you for looking. This will be an addition to my Caring Hearts bundle.

Meet Marvy!
I met Marvy at Archiver's yesterday! Yes, Marvy Liquid Applique! I think I might be behind the times here... I made this card to add to the Caring Hearts Card Drive, cards are due to reach Vera by the 15th of November, please visit her blog to see if you can participate in some way.
Paper: PTI
Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink: Copics, Pencil Crayons, Broken China and Fired Brick Distress Ink, French Blues Colorbox Chalk Ink
Other: Antique Linen Stickles, Marvy Liquid Applique, Hero Arts Gems, White Gel Pen, Tim Holtz Distressing Tool
I had so much fun using this house stamp from Hero Arts. I stamped and coloured it in with pencil crayons and copics. The roof, which is stamped again and applied seperately with dimensional dots, was actually stamped with Fired Brick Distress Ink. I added the liquid applique to the roof tiles and around the windows and doors to represent snow. I love how it goes on in liquid form and then you apply the heat tool to it, not too close, and it puffs up like puffy paint! The window blinds are filled in with Antique Linen stickles. The background was inked lightly with Broken China Distress Ink. I also added the negative cut out from the Victorian Lace Border Die from PapertreyInk at the bottom of the card to represent mounds of snow! I then lightly stamped some snowflakes with French Blue Colorbox Chalk Ink and added a few gems.
The panel edges were then distressed slightly.
Today is going to be a busy kitchen day, I found these awesome Oreo Cookie Mummy suckers which I want to make for my daughters' school Halloween Parade tomorrow...
Enjoy!

Playful Christmas!
Hi everyone! I have been in the mood to make a more lighthearted Christmas card for Vera's Caring Hearts Card Drive (see previous post for more details) and also for the Hero Arts October challenge. So I looked through my Christmas stamps, remembered the "block technique" that Jennifer McGuire shared on Two Peas In A Bucket, and came up with this....
Paper: PTI; Neenah Solar White
Stamps: Hero Arts
Ink: Brilliance Starlight Silver; Fired Brick & Broken China Distress Ink; Memento Tuxedo Black; Copics
Other: Dimensional strips; Mixture of Perfect Pearl and water; Eyelets; Bakers Twine from Jillinean Soup; Stickles
To make the blue bakground panel I simply pounced a whole lot of Broken China distress ink directly on my acrylic block, which happened to have a nice wavy edge, and then spritzed it liberally with Pearlized water, and stamped. I then went over the stamped image with a paintbrush to even it out a bit. I stamped a few small stars using the starlite silver ink from Brilliance.
I stamped the sentiment and then the frame, both from Hero Arts. I then applied Fired Brick Distress Ink to the sentiment panel before "hanging" it up over a little silver star brad with some twine. The owl is coloured in with copics, cut out and then applied to the panel.
I hope this brightens someone's Christmas!
Thank you for looking and leave me a comment if you wish. Chat again tomorrow!
