Simon Says "It's A Guy Thing"

So here is my first card of the year and what better way than to start with a real challenge (for me that is), to make a "guy" card!  For whatever reason these types of cards seem more challenging, perhaps because I have a pre-conceived idea of what colours to use, what images to use....and quite frankly, I know I need to take some risks and try something new...but....maybe another day!  Here is my card for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge which you can find HERE.

Excuse the way my card is standing but I wanted to try and capture the look of the heat embossed sentiment.

www.infinite-possibilities.blogspot.com
Paper: cardstock (PTI); designer paper (Glitz : Sunshine in my Soul)
Ink: HA Charcoal; Versamark; Pumice Stone DI
Stamps: HA (Special Time); SSS (Birthday Messages)
Other: pop dots; glossy accents; embossing powder (Liquid Platinum)

And here is an attempt at a close up of this absolutely gorgeous embossing powder called Liquid Platinum from Ranger!

As it was melting under my heat tool I just kept saying "Wow".  Unfortunately the picture does not do it justice so I guess you'll just have to take my word for it, or better still, go out and buy yourself some! (P.S. Thank You SSS for including this gem in  your December 2014 Monthly Card Kit!)

Have a fabulous day!

Brenda, this is one of the best masculine cards I've seen in a long while! I love the design, the colors and the heat embossing. I have that powder and it is SO gorgeous.

Haven't had the chance to say it yet - I hope you have a wonderful 2015!

Fabulous masculine card Brenda! The colours and image are perfect for a man's card, and I love the look of the platinum embossing powder.
