Cards That Care Blog Hop

Today's Blog Hop is in support of Cards that Care, cards for the elderly which is being organized by Vera Yates and Jennifer McGuire.  You can find all the details on how you can contribute HERE. It's a fantastic cause, a chance to show others that we care.

The following companies have generously offered prizes for the hop: Lawn Fawn, Penny Black, Sweet Stamps Shop, Avocado Arts, Hero Arts, Onlinecard classes & I Love It All. All you need to do is comment, and you have until midnight CST this Sunday to do so.

So, if all has been going well you should have arrived from Monica's blog where you would have feasted your eyes on her creativity, if at any time you get lost simply go back to Vera's blog.

The theme for this blog hop is Christmas or Holiday cards.  I went with Christmas and made 2 cards.  I won't go into too many details because there are quite a number of blogs for you to hop around to.  You can always e-mail me if you have any  question.

Everything on this card uses Papertrey Ink supplies.  I love that circular impression plate and the simple and clean look of a single red bow which is made by stamping on some lovely My Mind's Eye designer paper.

For this next card I went with Red and Kraft, I just love this combination.

Here I used stamps from Close To My Heart and the designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket. I also applied a bit of Fired Brick Distress ink around the inside edge of the die cuts before removing the die.

I hope you leave feeling inspired to make some cards for this worthy cause. Ok, now you need to hop on over to Annette's blog, but don't forget to leave comments as you go along, there are some awesome prizes up for grabs from some fabulous companies!  Most of all, send a few cards in to Vera or Jennifer before the 31st of November!  You can do it!

I love the simple design and great texture on the first and the rich tones and retro look of the second. I don't have time to hop the blog, but maybe I can next week. Thanks!
