Frame It Up

(This is the first of 3 posts for today, so if you want, make sure you scroll up to see the others.)

Barb over on the Hero Art Flickr group hosted a fun 90 minute scramble today and I managed to participate.  It was my first one and for some reason I was a little nervous, the time pressure most likely, because I know that at the best of times I am a really slow crafter.  But I made it in about 55 minutes, so that's not too bad for me!  Here is my card:

Paper: Hero Arts Notecard and layering paper, Neenah Solar White
Ink: VIntage Photo, Pumice Stone and Dusty Concord Distress inks, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers
Stamps: Hero Arts
Other: Gem frame from CTMH

I first stamped the butterfly onto the white cardstock, and another on a post-it note for masking later.  I coloured in the butterfly using Copic Markers. I then stamped the greeting on the bottom 3rd  of the card.

Then I masked the butterfly off and the greeting and I stamped the background with the "Old Letter Writing" stamp.  I then added a few other images from the Earth Flower stamp set.  My last step was to ink the card with some Vintage Photo Distress ink and to add the lovely gem frame around the butterfly!

Definitely the key for me is to have a visual picture in my mind about what I want to create!
