Butterflies

Whenever I look at my Hero Arts Antique Engravings stamp set I'm always reminded of my friend Jacqueline who once mentioned on her blog that she often just stamps those butterflies onto her scraps of patterned papers and then whenever she feels like it she trims them out in order to be able to use them on her cards.

If you visit her blog HERE you will see evidence of exactly how she puts these images to use, always creating the most beautiful and inspiring cards.

So last night that's what I did.  I had some scraps, I though of Jacqueline and stamped away.  Then today, in my quest to try a bit of "layering", I used one of those butterflies.

www.infinite-possibilities.blogspot.com
Paper: cardstock (PTI); designer paper (Basic Grey)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black; HA Cup a Joe
Stamps; Her Arts (butterfly; hydrangea); PTI (sentiment)
Other: gems; PTI Edge Die

I stamped the HA Hydrangea onto the top piece of patterned paper for added interest.  And the wings of the butterfly are popped up with the centre glued down.

It's a scorcher of a Spring Day here.  My friend is coming over in a short while to spend some time with me, we may even make a card or two.

Have a fabulous Sunday!

Brenda this is beautiful! In fact I think it's my new fave from you!! I love the mix of patterns and your lovely butterfly. This would surely lift someone's spirits during their time of grief. Nicely done!
