Stretch Your Stamps 2 - Day 2

Yes, I am only on Day 2!  But that is what is so good about this online class, no pressure to deliver every day, and lifetime access to the class material!

There were so many techniques shared on Day 2 but I decided to try the Acrylic Paint Resist technique.  Here is my card and I have to admit that I really like it.

Paper: cardstock (PTI); Neenah White cardstock
Ink: Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry; Ripe Persimmon Distress inks
Stamp: Dot Flower Pattern (Hero Arts)
Other: Leaf Die & Sentiment Die (PTI); Strawberry Twine (The Twinery); White Acrylic Paint

I inked up the Hello Die with the brighter pink and peach colours to make it stand out a bit more.

I do love the effect of the white acrylic paint but I have to admit that it makes me nervous to put paint on my stamps.  It did come off fairly easily as I did it immediately after stamping.  However, this stamp is quite detailed so the paint does get into the crevices and I did have to use a kitchen sponge to scrub it out.

I realised after taking the photo that I had meant to add Glossy Accents all over the die cut sentiment.  I may still do it but  I think the acrylic paint gives enough texture for this card.

So now I have another die cut, the leaf, to use on a second card!  That will make 6 cards in just 2 lessons!  Love it!

Hoping you are having a glorious Sunday!

Brenda this is lovely; Fab way of using the negative of a die cut and it looks gorgeous with these colors. The sentiment almost pops off the card; a bright and happy hello:)
Looking forward to see more of your projects from this online class!
