Reverse Background Stamps
I decided to take this class as I seriously need some inspiration and motivation as far as my card making is concerned. And, one is never too old to learn right! Especially from those ladies!
My first try was to play with Shari Caroll's idea. Even though this card took me what seemed like forever to make, I am quite happy with the outcome. My biggest dilemma was picking the colours and then deciding how to attach a sentiment. I tried a skinny word die-cut but it sort of looked sad on the background I created. So, this is what I came up with:
Paper: cardstock (PTI); watercolour paper (unknown)
Ink: distress inks (Spiced Marmalade; Seedless Preserve; Crushed Olive; Chipped Sapphire; Brushed Corduroy); Versafine Onyx Black
Stamps: Large Fabric Design (Hero Arts); Thanks set (SSS)
Other: Tag die (Impression Obsession); Meadow Leaf Die (Poppystamps); Twine (Twinery); 1" square punch
Lining up those little squares and sticking dimensional squares on the back takes a little bit of time and patience.
Ok, now off to admire everyone's work and to look at the other technique videos on offer before they post Day 2!
Thank you for visiting and have an awesome day!
