Barb's Birthday Hop

It's a special lady's birthday today, Barb Engler, who is like THE member of the Hero Arts Flickr Group in my opinion!  She is super friendly, super helpful, I think she never sleeps because she comments on just about everyone's creations, she is just a really, really nice person.

Virginia decided, along with a few past Hero Arts hostesses, to host a surprise Birthday bloghop for Barb, you can read all the details HERE.  And seeing as my card was never going to get to Barb on time, (her birthday is today), at least I can get it to her "virtually" on time!  Happy Birthday Barb!  May it be a great day!

Paper: cardstock (PTI - Soft Stone); Neenah; designer paper - Farmhouse 6X6 paper pad by Crate Paper)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black; Gray Flannel - Memento; Tumbled Glass  & Iced Spruce Distress ink
Stamps: Hero Arts (Flower Text & Many Birthday Messages)

I hardly ever not put the sentiment on the front of the card, but in this instance it's inside.  I wonder the flowers front and centre because Barb is a flower lover and also works with flowers.  The flowers are paper pieced with some Crate Paper designer papers.  I hope you like it Barb!  Let's now hope it gets to you before XMas!

(For those who care - it's another dreary, cool, grey, wet day here!!!).  Enough already!

Absolutely perfect for Barb! Whenever she gets it, I know she'll adore it, Brenda! Your day sounds like ours here in NE Ohio.....after a few 80 degree days last week, we are finally settling into "normal" fall weather, with some rain for the next few days........so you're not alone!

Aww, you are such a sweetheart! Thank you for the kind words and this beautiful card! I love your paper pieced flowers and the way you've framed them so perfectly! Thanks again, Brenda - I love it! :)

Hope your weather improves soon!

I love this card! Great colors and I like that you didn't put the sentiment on the outside....I think that it would have cluttered it up. The bow easy has alot of templates for it on line if you just google "bow easy" other wise "Gina K" sells it....She actually is located in my state so I was able to find it at a craft store that was going out of business for cheap. I think it retails for maybe $4/5 otherwise....I use mine pretty much daily.

Wow, Brenda! This card is absolutely delightful and beautiful! I know Barb would so love this! The paper-piecing is awesome against the text background! So glad that you can link up your card to share with Barb and all. Hope your day ahead is bright and happy (much like your card). Ours are wet and grey here..yup, that's weather :)
