I'm still making tag cards for Christmas and this one uses a beautiful piece of designer paper from MME 6X6 pack called "All is Bright".
The tree stamp is from PTI. After adhering the piece of designer paper to the tag I inked the edges softly with some Antique Linen distress ink, my all time favourite. The tree was stamped and die cut and then adhered to the tag. For the little red baubles I added some Glossy Accents and fine glitter over it before the Glossy Accent could dry.
I'm happy with these tags.
I've been back to the childrens' home, Thandi House, it was a heart warming experience when the children actually recognized/remembered me and one in particular came running into my arms and would not let go. One really has to work hard on biting back the tears. If we do not get any major rains overnight I will be going back tomorrow. Unfortunately the stretch of road leading to the home is pure clay and you basically slip and slide your way all the way up and then down!
A group of us are working with the couple who started the home in order to come up with some permanent, workable solutions for them. We have made an agreement for a number of months to provide them with food. Last week when we checked the kitchen there was NO food! Do you know that they only get some chicken to eat as meat as it is donated, no other meat, no fish...For vegetables they simply hope and pray for the kindness of people to provide for them!
Can we all just sit down for a moment and be grateful for our lives!

Thank you for reminding all of us just how lucky we are to live the way we do. We all forget too easily about those who suffer. I know the children's home must be so grateful to have you visiting and trying to help them. Sending hugs to you!

Your Christmas tag is just lovely, the flourishes on the tree are eye catching! Gosh girl you're on Christmas and I'm not quite into fall projects! Ha~ I better get moving!!
