CASology

My sweet friend Lisa just popped me an e-mail telling me about the new CAS challenge site on the block called CASology and I see that none other than the talented Rosemary Dennis is one of their DT's!  Yippee!

I'm also going to pop this in to the current HA contest:

I just happened to have made a card today and although it does use some patterned paper I still think it's very CAS and fits in with their cue word of the Week: SUN, for no other reason than the fact that I used a sun!

Paper: notecard (PTI cardstock); designer paper (Kissing Booth - Basic Grey); Neenah
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic Markers; HA Poppy Chalk ink; Tattered Rose distress ink
Stamps: Hero Arts (CL334); PTI (sun)
Other: dimensional tape; gem; PTI sun die; MFT Grass die

I started off by covering a white notecard front with some lovely paper from a Basic Grey 6X6 pad.  I then used those colors to dictate my coloring of the flowers and the birdies.  The sun is die cut from designer paper and then stamped with an outline stamp using HA Poppy chalk ink and adhered with dimensional tape.

The "grandma" bird is colored with Copics and is made up of three layers - the one image is stamped directly on the white cardstock, then another layer is popped up with some dimensional tape and lastly the wing was stamped, trimmed and adhered with more dimensional tape.  A little gem was added for the eye.  The flowers were repeatedly stamped and colored, and then a strip of "grass" was adhered over the stems.

I am feeling so disorganized at the moment, I know it's because we are living out of a lodge and I am being impatient about getting into our house, but that is going to be a while.  I seem to be doing a lot of running around, back and forth.  I'm trying to make sure that I still exercise each day but unfortunately the eating is getting the better of me, it's easier to grab something quick and starchy like a sandwich or piece of cake or cookie rather than actually go back to the lodge and open up a can of Tuna!  Uugh!  I need my house and my kitchen!  And my craft room.....but... this is what my craft room looks like today...

Wishing you a great day!
