Ok, we have a winner for my last Giveaway and it is none other than...Maureen Morton!
Congratulations Maureen! I was thrilled that Random.org picked your name as you always make the effort to visit me and I love your honest and funny comments! I'll be contacting you via e-mail or Flickr, just need to see if I do have your e-mail address.
Well, I had a great, great, girly weekend with some awesome crafty and talented friends made over blogland these last 2 years, oh, and of course, a very special friend from down the road too!
Here we are, SHOPPING! We all walked away with at least one bag of goodies!
From Left to Right: Lisa, Trinh, Vera, Martha and I.
Of course, we did do other things like craft, well ...some of us did, Trinh in particular! That lady is a crafting machine! I think she made 8 cards if not more, and this is amongst all the talking and laughing! She was also responsible for passing around, on a continuous basis, a bag of chocolate M&M's! Every time we complained she would say, "but i'ts DARK chocolate"!
Vera came armed with a huge box of ribbones which she generously shared amongst us, I guess that now I just have to make bows! And Martha showed me how to tie those pretty bows of hers, thank you! She also taught Lisa and I how to make this booklet. Hers was so beautiful that Lisa and I basically copied it, we even purchased the exact same patterned paper! I won't share it now, I'll leave it to Lisa or Martha to do that.
I could ramble on for a long time about the weekend, but I'm hoping that between the 5 of us, each one will eventually share a little snippet of their experience. There were so many "moments", too many for this post.
I did make two cards, (only). I'll share the one here:
You do not want to know how long it took me to make this card! Hours! I was so busy listening to all the chattering going on and I also couldn't come up with a design at all...I finally landed up taking some of Trinh's patterned paper, and used Vera's stamp and just made something. AND, I made a bow, hooray!
That's it for today, a bit of a long post, my apologies. (It was even longer for me as this is the third time I am typing this up as Blogger is acting up again and not publishing my post in full).
Have an awesome day!
