Grow a Little Love

Perfect timing!  Simon Says Stamp, one of my favourite places to shop for all things stamping related, is celebrating their 3rd Birthday!  Happy Birthday SSS!  So of course, this weeks' challenge is anything and everything to do with birthdays.

My daughter has just been invited to another birthday party in two weeks time and I needed to practice my Copic colouring for the class I am taking with my friend Lisa, so, I bundled all that together and came up with a very, very simple card!  (I know, I say that often, but it's true, I just never seem to do anything complicated when it comes to card making).

Whilst browsing a few blogs of some uber talented Copic divas I noticed some very sweet digital images and although I am not really a digital lover, I wanted this image.

She, Wryn, comes from Tiddly Inks and oh my goodness, you could get lost there for hours!

I made a smallish card using some PTI Vintage Cream cardstock, one of my favourite colours when I don't want to work with kraft or a coloured cardstock.  I stamped the gorgeous Penny Black "All You Need..." image in Versamagic "Pink Petunia" chalk ink, it gives such a soft look.  Isn't it awesome how it matches up with the heart flowers of the digital stamp!

Wryn is coloured with Copics and mounted on the notecard with some dimensional foam.  I did add a tiny bit of stickles to the heart flowers.  The sentiment, "Happy Birthday", from a Hero Arts set, is stamped in Iris Chalk ink on the inside of the card. (I love Hero Arts chalk inks, they are pure heaven!)

Now, let's hope the little birthday girl likes it!

The Vagabond I posted on my blog yesterday is sold!  Thank you Cheiron, I am so happy that it has gone to someone whom I know will use it - she is another totally talented lady!

My craft room is a shambles!  I know that I am avoiding packing, but it's going to have to be done as they come on the 29th to collect the Airfreight boxes!  It's just such a decision to make sure I get the right stuff in there!!!

It's all good, I may procrastinate from time to time, but I also manage to get things done, so no need to panic right!!!

Have an awesome day!

Absolutely amazing coloring Brenda! The skirt looks amazing! :> If I had to have all my crafty stuff boxed up for the 29th I would start on the 26th. It probably won't take that long and I wouldn't want to be without it! :>
