I Absolutely Adore You

I am not sure if you are aware but OWH (Operation Write Home) are in need of cards, you can see the current needs per shipper HERE.  So please, if you have cards lying around without a home, just package them up and send them off to the shipper nearest to you so that you can help put a smile on someones face.

So on the card making front that is what has been keeping me busy these last few days in between the daily necessities.  Plus, Lisa came over to visit on Sunday, we were sharing a small glass of wine in my craft room when she commented about my rather large pile of 6 X 6 pads of patterned paper! (She isn't that much better let me tell you!).  But when she left I did feel kind of guilty and have been digging into them with each card I make.

Here is a card, for OWH, made from paper that was in the Simon Says Stamp March Card Kit of the Month, which I think has sold out, but you can go and subscribe HERE in order to be sure to get the April one.

I basically sewed the designer paper onto the card front, you can barely see the sewing.  There was no need for a sentiment because it was already on the paper and I really loved it just as it was!  I added the stamped clouds and I die cut one of the new PTI butterflies just using the reverse side of the same patterned paper (that way I know it all co-ordinates) and tied a piece of dyed crinkle ribbon around the body, making two little knots on the ends for the antenae (I saw Lisa do this with twine or something and it looked cool!).

I like this card, something about the lovely designer paper from MME and the sentiment!

That's it for today, thank you for coming to visit.   I think I am pretty caught up on visiting my  favourite blogs, but I know I am behind on commenting on Flickr, I'm not sure if I will ever win this battle!  Have a gorgeous day!

I'm glad you "digged" into the box to share this beautiful pp with us today, Brenda! I've tons of cards lying in my box and if the postage was not so pricey, I would have sent them to OWH!

I ADORE (haha) how you don't even have to add a sentiment to this! The stitching looks great and the knots on the ribbon - nice touch :)
