I love the theme of Friendship so I am contributing a few cards to this month's Hero Arts contest. Here is another one today which was totally influenced by the beautiful Basic Grey papers from the Picadilly line! Oh I just love it! (I think I mentioned a few posts back that I have gone paper crazy!)
Paper: cardstock (PTI); designer paper (Picadilly - Basic Grey); Neenah
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic markers; Versamark
Stamps: Hero Arts (CL496; CL493)
Other: glossy accents; pearl (Recollections); White embossing powder
I just love it when I can use the scraps on my desk! I even hoarded that thin strip of blue paper (I know, I'm ridiculous....)!
For the flower I used the smaller flower in the set to overlay the centre of the larger flower to create a little bit of dimension. (Wow, I used the word flower three times in one sentence!).
Yesterday was a hilarious day! I popped in to Lisa's whilst our house was being showed, and for some reason Lisa felt that she needed to make this "healthy" green drink! So, we chopped, a lot of green vegetables, a lot!!!! She proceeded to liquidize them and then we TRIED to drink it! And Lisa can tell you the rest if she wants, but from now on I'll be checking if she is on a health drink kick before visiting! I love you my friend!
Have a wonderful day!

Beautiful card, Brenda! The flower is so perfect for that lovely background paper! Thanks for the slice of life story share too, sounds like a "Lucy and Ethel" caper.
From one paper hoarder to another (lol!) this is so pretty! Love your triple decker flower Brenda! Sounds like you had an interesting time with Lisa!!!

I know why you love this paper so much, B!! ti just has a really fresh and charming feel to it :)
Love that strip of blue that was saved and put to use in this- the perfect divider!!
And, sheesh, you left out the best part of the story!! You know, the part about the ongoing gift of green- hehehe!! I'm still laughing about that! But one must try, try again I'm afraid. Oh yes! A sequel is in the works my friend :) (pan to me rubbing my hands together devilishly.....)
So pretty Brenda! And friendship cards are so wonderful to make, I should do it more often! Love how you colored that flower!
Love your flower and PP together Brenda. Your "green" drink sounds interesting!!!!

Beautifully matched pp and the flower, Brenda! So glad you always have fun with your dear neighbour!
Fresh & pretty, Brenda! Love the sunny colors. I used to drink a green smoothie (spinach, carrots, kiwi, bananas, berries) for breakfast and then I hit that wall and now I can't make myself have another one.
This is so beautiful, Brenda! I love the colours. They are so soothing together!
LOL, if you're saying you tried to drink the green drink, then I'm thinking not. HAHAHA
Beautiful coloring of the flower and how it picks up the hues in the background design!
Wow!! Super gorgeous flower, look at those colors, I love it, Brenda! I'm way too crazy about paper too! It has almost taken over making a stamped background, yikes!
