OWH Fundraiser Bloghop

Welcome to our Operation Write Home Fundraiser blog hop!  If you’ve arrived at my blog from Pam's blog you’re on the right track.  If not and you’d like to start at the beginning your can start HERE.

OWH could use all the help they can get for the postage costs of cards that are mailed to our troops every month.  K'n K Designs are offering 100% of their proceeds from 7 digi sets they have designed, to OWH to help with this cost.  If you want to help, go on over and check out their site and adorable digis.

For this hop I chose to work with a sweet patriotic snowman image called Snow Thankful by Deedee Anderson.
Paper: card stock (PTI); Neenah
Ink: Copic markers; Memento Tuxedo Black; Hero Arts Soft Pool shadow ink
Stamps: K'n K Designs digital stamp (Snow Thankful by Deedee Anderson)
Other: Cuttlebug embossing folder; MFT Tab die; dimensional adhesive

The snowflake background is faux letterpress which is done by swiping your ink pad across the raised portion of the embossing folder prior to embossing your piece of card stock.  It works really well with this soft pool color from Hero Arts.

I then went and pieced my snowman after coloring him with Copics. Not sure if you can see it in the photo, but his hat, scarf and mittens holding the heart flag are all popped up with dimensional tape.  I really like how he turned out.

The next stop on our hop is Paige

Also very important, this hop has some prizes atached,  K 'n K Designs has some wonderful prizes for 2 lucky winners!  Your comment will enter you into the prize drawing and the winners will be announced on Monday, October 24th on the K 'n K Designs blog!  So be sure to leave a comment on each blog so you have a chance to win!

I am going to keep this short and sweet so that you have time to hop and then to shop at K'n K Designs!  Have a wonderful day!

Well now I'm ready for some Hot Chocolate. Even though your card looks like a snowman's best, cold day, it really warms my heart. Your thought to put your sentiment on the side works really well. You did a great job on the background embossed paper. Thank you for sharing.

So cute!! I love the embossed background - how did you get the snowflakes to come out white, and still get the blue background to stay blue? And your shading on the snowman is so realistic!! :) Great card!! Thanks for being a part of the bloghop!!
