Patterned Paper and a Sketch

I wanted to make a card using the sketch over at the Freshly Made blog and also using Jenny's challenge of Patterned Paper at Wee Memories.  And what better time than now to get started on some Christmas cards.

Paper: cardstock (PTI); Neenah; Jillibean Soutp (Christmas Eve Chowder)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic Markers
Stamps: Hero Arts (CL462; CL343; CL459)
Other: Stickles; Dimensional Squares; MFT Notebook Edge die

I pretty much followed the sketch using two little stars to represent those two circles on the left side.  I know that they are rather small but I wanted the centre image to be the focal point.  I popped up that ornament, which is coloured with Copics, and I also just added a bit of stickles to the centre.

I think I need to go and work on my creativity a little bit, not sure what's going on with me right now, but it's just not "flowing"!

It looks like it's going to be another  beautiful day here in Houston, ok, it will still be hot, but a different kind of hot, and I suppose I am in high spirits because my 10 mile run yesterday morning went way better than I had expected!  Even though every single muscle in my upper body hurts right now from working out with weights for an hour and a half on Friday!  Maybe I overdid it a bit, but I just felt that I needed to work really hard and get myself back into the swing of things after our trip away!

I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend!  Thank you to my followers who really do follow me, I just love to wake up to all your sweet comments every day!  You are all truly special!  And of course, I do welcome any newbies, it's so nice to be able to come and visit you too!

Great Christmas card, Brenda! Beautiful coloring of the ornament and the holly paper ties it all together.
I groaned when I read about your 10 mile run. I can barely make it to 2 miles w/o wanting to keel over.

Brenda, I think this is a great take on the sketch! I know I've not been feeling as creative lately either and I think it is the heat. Hopefully we'll get a break from it soon. I love the patterned paper and ornament image you chose! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

Hi, Brenda! I like your take on the sketch and you have used some pretty patterned paper, too. You are being too hard on yourself - I always love seeing your cards!

Running for 10 miles and lifting weights for any length of time would do me in! You must be in fantastic shape, girl!!

Hi Brenda, Beautiful Christmas card--love the ornament. I know what you mean about creativity not flowing. I am having the same problem, too. I spent most of today just sitting and staring at my paper and stamps. You take care. Hugs.

Way to go speedy feet! Ten miles and then weights?! You are going to be ready for an Iron Woman competition. Beautiful card. The notebook edging is a great element.

Wow, this is phenomenal. The ornament truly takes center stage and your coloring is fantastic. This would make one great card for mailing and for making multiples of. Running 10 miles, in Houston, that impresses me!!!

What a great way to use up all of those patterned papers now! Isn't it great fun?! You are definitely an inspiration when it comes to exercising like that! Wow, I don't think I could even survive a quarter mile, seriously, I'm so out of shape! Ugh! Congrats to you!
