Mini Album RAK Exchange (Randon Act of Kindness)

Not too long ago, a Hero Arts Flickr gal (Joy),organised a RAK exchange.  Basically, you are randomly paired up with another person who wishes to play along and you put together a gift for them (you and your partner can decide on the rules if you wish to have any).

Well, I was paired up with this talented lady Kelly Booth and we exchanged a few e-mails to try and get to know each other a bit, our likes and dislikes, etc... and then agreed to post our parcels to each other by a certain date.  (Which we have now both received).

As part of my gift to her I wanted to make her a little something.  I had previously come across THIS tutorial to make this little album/booklet from one 12X12 sheet of paper and had just made one with some fall themed paper and it was sitting on my desk when I was thinking of what to make Kelly.  And so I thought, hey, I'll make her a little Fall/Friendship themed booklet.  And this is what developed: (be prepared, there are a number of photos here as I wanted to show you each little page, so just bear with me).

Front outer cover (Bird - Hero Arts; Sentiment - CTMH)

Banner is Lawn Fawn; Little Boy is Artistic Outpost (Butterfly is part of patterned paper)

This is what the little booklet looks like!
So what do you think?  Is this not a neat idea.  You could "dress" these albums up in so many different ways, even add photos to it for a little family gift.  The booklet/mini album itself is really easy to make, the instructions in the photo tutorial are really quite easy to follow.

Have fun!  Maybe make a mini album today and surprise someone!
