Can't Help Myself

I just cannot help myself from creating another card for the "Fanatical About Botanical" challenge over at Moxie Fab!  Go take a look, you still have until the 8th of August to play!  Here is my card.

Paper: PTI cardstock; Making Memories patterned paper
Ink: Vintage Photo & Forest Moss DI
Stamps: Hero Arts, Stampers Anonymous, Pink Paislee, PTI

As you can see the layout is not complicated, it's probably one of my favourites actually.  I stamped the various images onto the patterned paper which I liked because it has this splotchy background.  The little bird is actually cut out from the same patterned paper but the reverse side.  I just wanted to try that for a change because those birdies are just so beautiful.  The two thin strips bordering the main panel were created by sponging some of the Kraft cardstock with Vintage Photo.

When my sister was visiting she kept wanting to throw away all these thin strips of cardstock and I kept digging them out of the bin!  She thought, and probably still thinks, that I was crazy, but really, these come in very handy!  Because I only have a Scoreboard that measures in centimetres I land up with a lot of these strips as I cut a strip off my A4 cardstock so that I can score evenly in the middle.

For all Hero Arts fans, Natalie is hosting a 90 minute scramble today!  They are such fun, you can find all the details HERE.

See you later!

I love the collage you've created- it's sort of dreamy with the muted colors and shadowy bird- perfect for this challenge :)

Beautiful. Beautiful collage. Wonderful use of those strips too. I know my fellow stampers use those little scraps up too.
