I wanted to make a card for a friend, and wanted to try to be cute! I cannot pull it off like my friend Lisa, but I tried!
I had so much fun paper piecing this little hedgie! Ok, plump hedgie! I pieced the flower with matching paper and then the bees, feet and hands! And I totally love this patterned paper by The Girls' Paperie, so soft and pretty and well, girlie! I also adore the banner in the Law Fawn "Bannerific" stamp set, so great for piecing together. In this case I also popped it up by first glueing it onto a string of jute and then using foam squares behind each flag!
Paper: The Girls' Paperie (patterned paper); PTI (kraft c/s); Neenah Solar White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Tea Dye DI; Copic Markers
Stamps: Penny Black; Lawn Fawn; Hero Arts (alphabet)
Other: Pearls (stash); Swiss Dot CB embossing folder; Jute; We R Memory (corner chomper), Stickles
Has your day started out great? It's so peaceful outside, I can just hear the birds, beautiful! It makes me miss Africa, waking up in the bush to those beautiful sounds. But, beauty is all around us, sometimes we just need to "open" our "eyes".
