Hero Arts Hostess Colour Challenge

So, Sharon over in Canada is obviously feeling summery as she posted her colourful bathing suit as the inspiration for this colour challenge!  You will have to go HERE to see it and to participate.

I was definitely attracted by the colours, here is my card:

Paper: PTI Cardstock; Neenah Solar White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic Markers; Versamagic (Turquoise Gem); Versamark
Stamps: Hero Arts; PTI (sentiment)
Other: Corner Chomper; Clear Embossing Powder; Glossy Accents; Gems (My Mind's Eye); Tim Holtz Sizzix Die; EK Success punch

I stamped my cardstock with the cling Stripes Pattern stamp and clear embossed it.  I purposefully did wipe off some of the ink in the centre, not sure why I wanted it that way as it did not really achieve the look I was going for but I cannot bear to throw things away so I continued with it.

The die cut in the middle was stamped with another cicular design from my old Hero Arts set, loving this set now to create backgrounds.  The bird was coloured with Copics, cut out, and adhered with dimensional dots.  I added a bit of Glossy accents here and there.

This was just fun to do, thank you Sharon for the inspiration!

Your colours are beautiful, I love this card! I find that by wiping a little of the background ink gives a sensitive feel to the card ... I like it

This is absolutely gorgeous, Brenda! I love the wiped away centre because it makes the outer lines focus on the colourful centre. I think you instinctively did what was best! :)
