Ok, after this post you are really going to think that my mind works in mysterious ways!
I am inspired by so many talented people out there, every day! So for this card I was inspired by this beauty HERE from Tina. I love that Three Fern stamp from Hero Arts, and I just love what she did with it (she actually won this month at Hero Arts with this card, very deserving). And whilst I was visiting Godelieve's blog I was also blown away by THIS card! I loved the panels and also the background colours.
My original intention was actually to use the Three Fern stamp somehow with Godelieve's design! Well, I totally messed up all my measurements but as usual could not bring myself to throw away the centre piece of the image that I had cut out.
So then I went back to Tina's idea and stamped the fern directly onto my green cardstock and overlayed with the piece of the fern that was stamped with distress inks on watercolour paper, that had previously been stamped with my acrylic block and other distress inks. Did this all sound like gibberish to you! Ok, here is the card and it's simple enough to figure out what I did.
Paper: PTI cardsctock; Watercolour paper
Ink: Shabby Shutters & Wild Honey DI; Versafine Onyx Black
Stamps: Hero Arts; PTI (sentiment)
Other: Jute (Michaels); Bead (my stash); PTI Tiny Tags Die
I know, a far cry from what Tina and Godelieve created, but they did inspire me, so I want to thank them, and I really like the outcome!
Thank you for popping in today! I love all your comments.

This is really pretty Brenda! Such a soothing card visually and I love the technique you have used! Well done with this one!
Love how the fern turned out and it complements so well with the watercolour background, Brenda!
Love the way it turned out, Brenda! So beautiful!
The colors are fantastic together and I really like the end result of this all the way down to the tiny tag and the twine. The black is just the right amount of punch to pull it all together :)
I had the same stamp for ages and don't know what to do with it
This is a very pretty card :)
Thanks for sharing
Amna :)
I like that it turned out different! It's so fun to be inspired by others! :>
I love this card Brenda! Sometimes the best cards come out of mistakes :) You've inspired me to get out that fern stamp again too!!

I love how this turned out Brenda. Some time it's funny how things turn out.
I love this, Brenda! It's like a framed painting. Absolutely gorgeous.
