Owl Miss You

I just felt like doing something playful, again, so I got out some Unity stamps and played.  I was also browsing through Godelieve's blog ( she is so artsy, you really need to pop over and have a look, and she has so many ideas) and she reminded me in one of her posts about a different kind of fold for a card.  So I used that fold here. The only thing I am still uncertain of is whether I should have tied some twine or ribbon around the spine of the card or something.  I may still punch two holes in the spine and add a matching blue ribbon, not sure.

Paper: Hero Arts Notecard, Neenah Solar White
Ink: Copic Markers, Chipped Sapphire & Broken China & Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks, Memento Tuxedo Black, Colorbox White
Stamps: Unity, Hero Arts (tiny little star & Envelope Pattern Stamp)
Other: PTI Edgers #1 Die

I first created the card by folding a standard A4 sheet of cardstock in half and then cutting that in half, which gives you two standard A2 cards.  I then scored the front panel at 10.5cm and glued the spine down using score tape.  I stamped the Envelope Pattern Stamp on the spine using Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.

Then I made a mask for the moon using the moon in the January Unity KOM and I sponged that die cut with the Chipped Sapphire, leaving some white space in front of the moon, which I then lightly inked with Broken China.  I stamped, coloured with Copics and cut out the Owl, adhered him to the blue panel and then stamped the cloud and the sentiment (from the Unity Lollipop Tree set) on a seperate piece of paper, cut it out and popped that on with some dimensional dots.  I stamped a few small stars using white ink here and there.

I have just had a look at the Tuesday trigger over on Moxiefabworld and I love those colours, so maybe I will try to play with them for the first time.  You should go and take a look!

Have a wonderful day.
