I have been playing around a little with my new Unity stamps from the August 2010 Kit of The Month: All You Need, it has so many beautiful stamps . So I made another two cards to add to the Valentine pile I need to have ready by next week.
It's an extremely simple design, quite a CAS card really.
Paper: PTI, Neenah Solar White, Hero Arts Layering Paper
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Punch Chalk Ink, Viva Pink Glimmer Mist
I used Kraft cardstcok from PTI as my card base. The centre panel was first sprayed with a little Glimmer Mist and then I stamped the sentiment, part in Versafine Onyx Black and the other in Punch Chalk Ink from Hero Arts. The hearts were stamped with the same chalk ink. I matted that centre panel onto Hero Arts matching Layering papers and voila, done!
Now, do I admit to you the fopar I was about to make whilst putting this card together! It's a bit embarrassing, but I'm a little under the weather at the moment so I guess it's ok that I misread the sentiment! Well, in this kit the "Love" is seperate from the "all you need is". And when I designed the card in my head, the sentiment was going to read "Love is all you need". So, I stamped "Love" and then was about to stamp the second portion of the sentiment when I realised that the more I looked at it, the more it did not seem right! I was even thinking of phoning Unity saying that I had spotted an error on their stamp (forgive me Unity!)! Man, that could really have been an embarassing moment! After a few delayed moments I eventually figured it out! You see, it's true that saying, the world IS NOT as WE see it!
Wishing you all an awesome day!
