You Simply Have to Laugh with Me!

You know how sometimes you want to go outside your comfort zone, you sort of have an idea of what you want to create, and you just think, oh well, I'll give it a bash!  Well, that is what I did here, and I am still laughing at myself!

You might be wondering why I am even posting this here, well, because I want to tell myself out loud that it is actually ok to laugh at yourself sometimes, it actually feels good!  So, laugh with me as I share ALL of the elements I tried to pile onto one card here!  Just too funny! (I don't even have a name for this!)

Paper: Neenah Solar White, PTI cardstock, Unknown pink patterned paper, Grunge Paper
Ink: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose & Worn Lispstick , Versafine Onyx Black, Versamark
Stamps: Hero Arts
Other: Sizzix Die (Bird & Tag), Unknown Flower Trim, Graphics Fairy (Birdcage), Crackle Accent, WHite Embossing Powder

Well, the background is stamped with the Hero Arts "Heart Flourishes" cling background stamp in Worn Lipstick. The Birdcage is from The Graphics Fairy.  I printed it on pink patterned paper and cut it out. I die cut the bird using Grunge Paper which I then inked with Vintage Photo and applied lots of Crackle Accent to. The tag is stamped with Versamark using the new 2011 Hero Arts "Large Blossom" cling stamp which I then inked with Tattered Rose, Worn Lispstick and a little Vintage Photo Distress ink.  The sentiment is also from a new 2011 Hero Arts sentiment set.

Seriously, did I put on a blindfold and put my head in my scraps bucket and randomly pick a whole lot of things and stick them on a card!  I know I am laughing, but don't get me wrong, I don't hate this card, I kind of like it because I was really passionate about making it and I love the elements, they are suppose to convey a feeling of love and caring, and thinking about/missing someone...Anyhow, if by chance you can find something meaningful in this "card of no style", be nice, and leave me a comment or just laugh with me!!!

Thank you for putting up with me this morning!  I hope to come back later with something more, should we say, defined!

What can I say? I have done this very thing, so many times! I truly love all the separate elements. If you don't think they go well together, maybe you can pull some off the card and still use them for different projects. I admire you for laughing about it and posting it too! Hugs!

This is what collage and being creative is all about Brenda!! It is an expression of what is in you! I love the pinks and it has something French about it..I think its the most relaxing thing to do - just playing with scraps, bits and pieces and doing a little puzzle!

Lol you're too funny, Brenda! A lot of the time I don't know where I'm going with my cards so it can be fun to see the end result! I think your card is beautiful! The colours are so pretty and I love the way you have combined all the elements!
