Paint Resist Technique

Hi everyone, a short post this evening.  I made this card using one of the techniques shared by Jennifer McGuire in her Thinking Inking classes, you can watch her video here or over at the Two Peas In a Bucket website.

Paper: PTI, Neenah Solar White
Stamps: Fabulous Flourish (Hero Arts), sentiment (Technique Tuesday)
Ink: Brushed Corduroy, Peeled Paint, Broken China Distress inks, Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabber - "Snow Cap"
Other: Pearls (Hero Arts), Lace, Perfect Pearls mixed with water

I first stamped the flourish on white cardstock using the Snow Cap paint dabber.  I then applied some heat to it my the heat gun simply because I am not patient enough!

I liberally applied Peeled Paint and a little Broken China distress ink to the image.  Then just wipe softly with a slightly damp cloth to remove any ink that is adhering to the white flourish.  (The Acrylic Paint resists the ink). I then spritzed with a little pearlized water to make some "blotches".  I like that look, and in real life the card now has a shimmer to it, beautiful!  The edges were inked with some Brushed Corduroy.  The sentiment was stamped, a small strip of lace was sewn on the one edge, a few pearls were adhered and then it was all added with dimensional pop dots.

The edges of the card itself were also inked with Brushed Corduroy to add to the vintage look.

Wishing you all a fabulous evening.  The weather is just superb at the moment, just wonderful to enjoy more of the outdoors!
