A Card for Caring Hearts...

Today I am posting a Christmas card I made last night for Vera's Caring Hearts Card Drive (see my previous post for more details regarding this cause).  Please support this cause if you can.

Paper: Neenah Solar White
Stamps: Hero Arts; Micia Crafts; PTI
Ink: Broken China and Peeled Paint Distress Ink; Copics; Memento Tuxedo Black; Clear Embossing ink
Other: Gem; Silver EP; White EP; Twine; Glossy Accents; Nestability Die

I used the emboss resist technique to make the blue swirly background with the help of Hero Arts background stamp, Rangers Broken China distress ink and white embossing powder.  Easy to do, stamp with clear embossing ink, emboss with white embossing powder, apply the heat gun and then cover with distress ink.  The embossed area, in this case the white swirls, resists the ink!

The snowman stamp is an old one from when I first started stamping, it's from Micia Crafts, which I colored with copics and also added a little glossy accents on the buttons.  I added some twine from Jillibean Soup, this is my first time using this, and then I popped on a snowflake die cut that has a little gem in the centre, and the sentiment.

I hope the recipient enjoys it as much as I did creating it.

Wishing you all a wonderful day!  I need to go and make a To Do List of all the little projects I need to finish, including some halloween treats for my daughters class for Friday!!!
