How exciting! A friend from the Hero Arts flickr group is heading up the new SSS Flickr Challenge Group! She is an awesome hostess, so I would encourage you to join in the fun, plus who can say anything wrong about SSS! They are wonderful suppliers, with great service, plus their own branded stamps are really very high quality! You can find all the details for the 1st challenge HERE.
The first challenge is a colour challenge, here are the colours:
We needed to use a minimum of 3 of the colours and at least one SSS stamp or die or stencil. Luckily I subscribe to their Monthly Card Kit so I got to use one of their sets. Here is my contribution:
Paper: Neenah White Cardstock; MME patterned paper
Ink: Memento; Versafine
Stamps: Flower Friend (SSS); Old Letter Writing (HA); Antique Engravings (HA)
I really was not sure what that first colour was in the example, it looked like either grey or a muted olive green, but I took it as grey.
I roughly stamped the background panel with the Old Letter Writing in Gray Flannel (after having wiped off some ink). I then stamped the rest and added my previously cut out butterfly which had been stamped on some patterned paper.
I really enjoyed making this card, thanks for the inspiration Barb even though it took me about 4 days to figure out how to combine those colours together!
