I decided to make a second card based on this days teachings and chose Marion Vagg's technique.
Paper: cardstock (PTI); watercolour paper
Ink: various distress inks; Versamark
Stamps: HA Tweed Background stamp; HA Everyday Sayings; HA Thanks a Bunch
Other: White Embossing Powder; PTI Die
The background stamp is heat embossed using white embossing powder onto watercolour paper. I then put various distress inks onto my craft sheet, spritzed with water and painted them on with a paintbrush. (Pinterest is a great resource for someone like me who is not good with colours! I typed in "colour combinations" in the search block and found what I wanted).
I then die cut the "window" and after cutting up a sentiment stamp and combining one piece with another sentiment from a different set I stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The panel was then mounted with dimensional tape.
Nice quick card. I don't often use black as a card base but it does work well with white heat embossing.
So yes, it's weekend again, and the clock keeps ticking and time keeps moving forward and I wonder if I will ever get it all done in my lifetime!
Have a fabulous weekend and thank you to those who have been kind enough to take the time to leave me some comments, I always enjoy reading each one!

Hi, Brenda! I love the colors you used here and the black does accentuate the white embossing beautifully. Great card.
