I'm playing along with Adeles' "It's A String Thing" challenge, you can find all the details HERE. This time I decided to play with a Renaissance tile as I need a lot of practice with these. Instead of the traditional black & white, on these beautiful tan tiles one makes use of both a black and a brown Micron pen and then we use white charcoal pencil for highlighting and graphite pencil for shading. (As I said, I need a LOT of practice!).
This week it was all about tangles beginning with the letters Ba - we had 8 to choose from and I decided to work with 5 of them. Here is my interpretation of String No.23 that was used for this challenge:
All these tangles can be found on www.tanglepatterns.com.
I enjoyed spending time on this tile. I am quite a slow tangler I think, but Zentangle® is all about the process, and not really about the outcome. I do find that I do relax when I tangle away.
Today I have been spending time putting pen to paper in terms of some classes I want to offer in the coming months with regards to Zentangle®. I have to admit to a bit of nerves, but my friend Moz let me practice on her the other day, and it was a wonderful experience, for both of us.
Wishing you a really wonderful day!

Awesome! I think you're becoming an expert Brenda!
It's a lovely tile. I really like the Bandolai. will have to bring out my tan tiles and give it a go too. Thanks for the inspiration.
Very pretty piece of art Brenda!
This is a lovely tile and a lot of work! But, having experienced the peace and contentment one feels whilst working on a tile, who cares how much work or how long it takes? Everything just has to wait.....lol!
You are a very good teacher B, so don't feel anxious. I can't wait to get going with your classes. Enjoy the beach. Hugz. Moz
fabulous Brenda. How exciting to be teaching this. Wish I live close to you, as I'd come to classes for sure.
your tangles always look amazing to me, brenda! i like the addition of color on this one. i think you will be a great zentangle teacher... so don't worry! :)
How EXCITING! Classes! I just LOVE this tile and all of the patterns you made! GORGEOUS! I can imagine this would be very relaxing!
Stunning! I am wanting to get started learning Zentangles. I was wondering if can advise what products are the best to buy in SA to get myself started
I am always in awe when I see one of your tangles, Brenda!
It's a really beautiful tile, Brenda. I am so envious of the Renaissance tiles as they add an extra 'something' to the tangles but they're not easy to get where I am. All the best for teaching; I do think that teaching the process is a vital part and I'm sure you will love it. Axxx
