Not Feeling It

I'm struggling to feel the Christmas spirit and yet I know that I need to get going with some cards, some tags, some teacher gifts.....the list seems long!  Is anyone else feeling this way?  All this results in, is too much time on the net looking for inspiration to "fall upon me"!  But thank goodness for those crafters who year after year inspire us when we experience these low moments.

Anyway, I made a card and then replicated it by changing up where I put the designer papers.  It's a very simple and rather plain design, but it's a start!

Paper: cardstock (PTI); designer paper (MME: All Is Bright)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Stamps: Hero Arts (Miracle of the Holiday; Happy Hello)
Other: Scalloped Edge Punch

Like I said, simple, and here is its mate:

It's a blistering 39 Celsius (102 F) here today, way too hot!  Have a wonderful day.

I'm with you, Brenda....it doesn't seem possible that it is getting to be time to think about Christmas. I love it, but am not ready to think about it. This is a great card - I love the kraft for the holidays. Very earthy and cozy! Stay cool and have a great weekend.

Well I suppose when it's 102 it would be hard to get in the Christmas spirit!! We all go through a loss of mojo so you are not alone. I had to make a series of Christmas cards for a new release and it was a STRUGGLE!! Your card is far from simple, the little bird with the fancy tail feathers speaks volumes on this adorable card!!

I understand and can relate to the feeling.
In Nov. Scrap Rendez-Vous is showcasing one artist a day with a new card and sketch for the Holidays...maybe you'll join us then?

I certainly LOVE your card!

xx

I like them, Brenda! Using the papers to piece the bird makes him even more interesting and I love that sentiment. Keep on playing, you'l be feeling back to yourself in no time.
