So funny, I needed to make a card for a birthday coming up this weekend and I used an embossing folder (which I have not done in FOREVER), and just before writing up this post I went and checked what the challenge was on SSS and yes, it's all about embossing, heat or dry. Good timing. So here is my card using some Hero Arts goodness:
Paper: cardstock (PTI); Neenah
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic Markers; Victorian Velvet DI
Stamps: HA (Artists Butterfly; Scallop Borders); PS (Sentiment Sampler)
Other: Stickles
I dry embossed the white mat and adhered my Copic coloured butterfly with some foam adhesive under the one wing. A little bit of Stickles on the spots of the wings for some sparkle. And after having stamped the scalloped border I trimmed around it.
I was doing so good with my blogging and then I got hooked on Zentangle, (it's a good think), and cannot stop practicing various patterns and making tiles, it's so captivating, puts you in a trance really. Here is a tile I did last night using String 069 on Tanglepatterns.com:
Trying out a few different patterns and also using a Copic marker for the shading this time.
I did a 10km race this past Sunday with my friends, here we are:

I did a 10km race this past Sunday with my friends, here we are:
(Lt to Rt: Nada, Juanita; Me)
We were all aiming for a good time, wishing for decent weather (that means cool weather for me), and lo and behold it decided to be the hottest day of winter, it went up to 93F! However, we still ran very well. And to top that off, Nada and I being in the 40-49 age category (next year I go up to the next category, yikes!), we found our names in the top 10 for our age group! And in the top 70 overall! So you see, sometimes ageing does have its benefits! So today I am celebrating my age group:))
In two weekends time a group of us are running a night run, 12 hours, called the Relay for Life, for all those lost to Cancer or having survived it. Sadly for my friend Juanita, she lost her Mom to this battle a few months ago, so this one is for her.
Wishing you a wonderful day!

Love your card - we must remember to emboss! It adds such great texture. And that butterfly is such a favorite of mine....colored beautifully. Great run, thanks for sharing.
