Simon Says "Monochromatic"

Monochromatic is a real challenge for me because it has to do with colours right, that's the focus, and I don't do well with colours, and then to put so much of the same colour on one card, well, that makes me break out in a sweat!  But I decided to give the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge a go after seeing my dear friend Lisa totally rocking this challenge!  Here is my attempt:

Paper: cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Memento Pear Tart; Versafine Onyx Black; Versamark
Stamps: Hero Arts (Hexagon Background); PTI (Happy Hexagons; Tiny Tags); CTMH (Childhood Portrait)
Other: Twine (The Twinery)

The Hexagon background is stamped with Pear Tart ink and that piece is then matted onto a darker green cardstock.  The Tree is stamped with versamark and clear heat embossed.  I then found some small Hexagon stamps and stamped, heat embossed and trimmed them out and adhered with some dimensional foam.

That's it for me today, need to go and take care of dinner and the family.  Have a great day!

Hey Brenda, thanks for your sweet comment on my little pincushion! I didn't see an email address for you. But in answer to your question I used PTI ink ~ Pure Poppy & Leaf Green! I knew this item wouldn't be washed so I didn't get a fabric specific ink. Thanks girl ;)
