Engraved Daisy

I have not used this stamp in yonks, seriously!  And it is such a beautiful flower, Engraved Daisy, from Hero Arts.  As I needed a birthday card for Sunday I decided to put it to good use.

Paper: cardstock (PTI); patterned paper:( BasicGrey: What's Up)
Ink: Versafine; Copic
Stamps: Hero Arts (Engraved Daisy); PTI (Gracious Vases)
Other: Clear embossing powder; PTI Die

I added a few dashes of Copic colouring to the flower for some shading and contrast.  And yes, I did want the sentiment panel to hang off the side for some reason.

It's a Public Holiday here tomorrow, Women's Day!  So no school run in the morning and hopefully we can have a women kind of day, the two of us, Natasha and I.  Have a wonderful day.

Whoa! Am totally loving this color combination Brenda! Great design....the flower looks so dimensional for some reason against the polka dotted background.

Well you have a new follower in me kid and I have subscribed to your blog! I loved the comment you just left on my blog -- so funny. When you are 13 the sky is the limit. When you are 69 you see how far you can fall!!! I just sit and stare sometimes too - so I go off looking at other people's blogs and see what they are up to!

That flower is very pretty and I forget about using it too (like so many other stamps that I own). The flower pairs up with the PP perfectly!

Yay for Women's Day!
