The possibilities, wow, and I went for a very plain jane option! You can find all the challenge details on the CAS-ology blog. My one nephew is turning 20 this weekend and I needed a card, so I went "simple" as he is a no frills kind of guy. When you have nice paper there often is no need to try and do all sorts of additional things, I find it can detract from the beauty of the pattern on the paper. Here is my take:
Paper: cardstock (PTI); patterned paper (Fancy Pants designs)
Die: PTI
Can't get any simpler! I love that woodgrain background paper, it's so masculine. The 20 was die cut several times with Kraft cardstock and then the patterned paper die cut was adhered over the top, making a dimensional paper embellishment.
On a side note, I am trying to learn a little bit about Watercolour paints and found this interesting idea of how to make your own Watercolour Chart on Jennifer Frith's website HERE. It's quite a tedious process (for me that is), but then to top it off my daughter decided she wanted to do one with her palette of paints!!! (Poor thing, if only she knew what she is in for. I am on day 2 and can barely stand to do the same action for more than 15 minutes at a time and you'll see, I am not getting very far. I have 25 colours to do, that's 25 X 25, Natasha has almost the same amount, 22!) Here is our work in progress:
That's Natasha at work.
This is mine using the Koi Watercolour set from Sakura.
Wishing you a wonderful day!
