Thank You

A little Thank You card to share with you today which I made earlier this week.

Paper: cardstock (PTI); designer paper (BasicGrey: What's Up); Neenah
Ink: Distress ink - Seedless Preserves; Hero Arts - Pale Tomato; Versafine)
Stamps: Stampin Up; Hero Arts
Other: Spellbinders Nestabilities die; sewing

I really need to use up my patterned paper pads, they are so pretty and they are sorely neglected!  My Hero Arts Antique Engravings is my all time favourite set, I just love everything in it, including this gorgeous Dragonfly.

When I was making this card I wanted to add some stitching, which I did.  But I wanted the colour of the stitching to match the Distress Ink, and that's when I thought, I wonder if Tim Holtz could bring out a corresponding Sewing Thread Line for his Distress inks!  I ended up sponging a bit of the Seedless Preserve over the stitched frame, but it's not exactly what I had in mind.

I hope you are all enjoying your day so far!

Brenda, maybe you should come up with a line of matching thread and markers...who knows, you could be on to something! (It's a great idea!) I love your card, such a beautiful dragonfly image and pretty papers!

Hi Brenda! HA Antique Engravings set is one of my all time faves too! In fact I just used one of the butterflies from that set on a bday card for my mom:). I love how you used the dragonfly in your design! And what a great idea you have about coordinating thread- I think Tim should get right on that!!

Great idea for the thread, Brenda! I have had bad luck with card stitching (broke 2 machines!), so if I do it is now "faux". Love this sweet detail on this warm and lovely card. That dragonfly is stunning - I wonder if I have this set? Gotta go digging - ha! Have a good one, dear gal.
