Not What I had in Mind!

Has it ever happened to you, you sat down to create this "specific" card but the end product was so far from what you had imagined!  Well, that's what happened to me.  Then I thought I did not like it but when I looked at it again this morning after 3 hours sleep, I thought, ok, not THAT bad!

Paper: cardstock (PTI); designer paper (Minuet by Memory Box)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black; Versamark; HA Passion Flower
Stamps: Paper Smooches (Spiritual Sampler); HA (Wise Bird; Simple Frame; Tiny Ink Spots; Flower Dot Pattern)
Other: white embossing powder; stickles; Dylusions Ink Spray  (Dirty Martini); foam dots

I stamped the card front with the Flower Dot Pattern stamp in Passion Flower.  As you can see I trimmed off a few bits from the Simple Frame stamp as well as the branch from the Wise Bird stamp.  The bird was stamped on patterned paper, trimmed and adhered. The green background is simply Dylusions Ink Spray and then I heat embossed using white embossing powder, the Tiny Ink Spots background stamp. Then I mounted that frame using foam dots.

I have a question for Hero Arts, why have you removed the names of the stamps from the Wood Block stamps?  Not nice.

It's a blistering hot day here today but apparently we need to get our winter coats out for this weekend.

Have a wonderful day!

Your card turned out beautiful Brenda, even if it's not what you thought to do. This often happens to me... have an idea but can't always get it to look good on the card. Yours did! We too are still having warm weather. Enjoy it while you can

Hi, Brenda! Yes, that happens to me almost every time I create. BUT, I love the therapeutic process of creating.

Your DARLING card turned out SO beautifully! I love the sweet birdie, the combination of stamps, the pretty green, & the perfect sentiment. Great job!

HUGS!
