Hero Arts March Contest

For this card I decided to use the colour combination that Hero Arts put out for this month's contest.  Here are the colours:

And here is my card:

Paper: cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Memento (Gray Flannel); Copic markers
Stamps: Hero Arts (Tall Flower: Sweet Threads Label)
Other: Washi Tape (Freckled Fawn); Stampin' Up Scalloped Edge punch

A very simple CAS design as you can see.  I opted for some Rustic Cream cardstock and stamped the image in Gray Flannel before adding a few strokes with various Copic Markers.  When I realised I was kind of stuck for the mauve/lavender shade of the colour combo I dug around my Washi Tape and found the purpley colour, a bit bright, but that's all I had.

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  Mine was rather quiet, but every now and then that is a welcomed relief!

great use of the colours. I get a bit daunted with so many colours to use, so I am impressed with your ability to combine these colours. Lovely card Brenda.

Superb brenda!
You've given so much class and life to the flower and I love the contrast between the flower and the washi tape.

Have a wonderful week ;-)

Oh I love how you colored the flower! And the softness of the gray ink for the stamping is perfect for the overall feel of your pretty card.

Sweet card, Brenda - you have used this stamp so well several times! Great use of the washi, which I still struggle with. You are trying so many new "looks" and they all work. Hugs!
