Masculine for Unity

I decided to play with the challenge over at Unity again but this time simply using the sketch as my inspiration and also focusing on a masculine card.  You can find all the details about the challenge HERE.

And here is the card I made.  I did flip the sketch around and went very CAS in this design.

Paper: cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Black Soot distress ink; Adirondack "Denim" dye ink
Stamps: Unity February 2013 KOM
Other: white EP; clear EP; pop dots

They have this awesome woodgrain background stamp in the kit which I love, it's quite rustic and realistic so I used it and stamped it twice on my card base to set the tone for a masculine card. I embossed it with white embossing powder on some Rustic White cardstock from PTI.

I then stamped the banner with another stamp in the kit.  The ink bottle is stamped in Black Soot and clear embossed, trimmed and adhered with dimensional tape.

I'm not sure how many entries one can submit as it wasn't mentioned on the Unity blog, but it doesn't matter, I really enjoyed making this card.

We had a great start to the day with a beautiful run through the park in the mist and coming out in full sunshine on the other side.  Wishing you also enjoy a great beginning to your day!
