A Masculine Card

One of the Mom's at my daughter's school asked if I had a masculine birthday card in my stash that would work for a 50 year old, well, of course I didn't!  That was quite a realisation so you may see a few more masculine cards appearing on my blog, I need to make a few to keep for just these kinds of occassions.

So I made her one and liked it a lot and decided to make another using a slightly different tree image to keep in my stash.  Here is the card I made for her to give to her friend:

Paper: cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Hero Arts Latte Chalk Ink
Stamps: Hero Arts (Many Birthday Messages; Envelope Liner Background); Darkroom Door (Trees)
Other: PTI Banner Die; EK Success border punch; twine

And this is the second card I made to keep in my personal stash using a different tree from the same Darkroom Door stamp set.

I  also decided not to pop up the banners on this card.

I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who left me wonderful birthday wishes all over various social media yesterday, wow, I felt quite popular!  You are all wonderful and I am so grateful to know all of you in some kind of way.

Wishing you all a totally fabulous day!

You really rallied to the cause, Brenda! Masculine cards are so darn difficult because they can't be "cute". These are brilliant -m love the banners, both raised and flat.

Okay, now this is jaw dropping gorgeous. Wow. oh my gosh, I can't stop starring at it's beauty. I love the stamping in the corner of the card and the colour is stunning. I so love your design and once again you have mastered the art of cardmaking. Thanks for inspiring me. And belated birthday greetings sweetie. I haven't been that great of a blog follower lately and I am sorry for that, but has life settles more for me and becomes less stressed, my time to blog becomes better. Wishing you and the family much happiness.
