Just A Note...

I'm trying to play a little bit more with my neglected Hero Arts stamps.  They are so beautiful, but I have quite a few so some do tend to get neglected!  I also wanted to make a different shaped card and I adore the scalloped circle Nestibilitie die.

Paper: cardstock (PTI; Neenah); Designer paper: Crate Paper (Farmhouse 6x6 pad)
Ink: Memento (Cantaloupe; Tangelo; Morocco); Versafine Onyx Black; Antique Linen Distress ink; Versamark
Stamps: Hero Arts (Everyday Sayings; Lauderdale Floral; Scallop Borders)
Other: Clear Embossing Powder; gems (Joans); Spellbinders Nestibilitie; foam adhesive squares

I was in an orange mood and I really like these shades from Memento.  I stamped the flower onto patterned paper and trimmed it out and adhered with dimensional foam squares after heat embossing it.  To heat emboss Memento inks I simply first apply Versamark to my stamp and then the Memento ink of my choice.  As you can see, I was also in a "gem" mood.  It was the picture in my mind so I went with it.

The temperatures eventually dropped today, yippee, and our house has eventually managed to cool down some although you can still feel the retained heat in some of the rooms!  I think we are going to have about a day or two's reprieve and then the heat begins again!

Wishing you all a fabulous crafty day if you have the chance!

Hi Brenda, I want to thank you. You ATC's from the other day inspired me to make one & then a card. I've linked back to your blog in my post. Hope you don't mind.

I love this card! Those colours are wonderful. I also love the shape of your card & those scallops are just perfect. Hope your days aren't too hot. We are expecting a few more days of high temps here (& humidity) so will be thinking of you.

gorgeous card Brenda. I've just realised that you have had two summers with not much of a winter in between with moving back to South Africa.... Glad it's cooled a bit...
