Hydrangea Inspired

I decided to make another card for the current Hero Arts contest.  First there was an ATC:

I dug in my basket of scraps and found that background paper which I adhered to the blank ATC. I then did some stamping using the lovely Hydrangea stamp from HA, a sweet butterfly from Antique Engravings and the little fern stamp is also from a Hero Arts clear set which unfortunately has no label on the plastic cover and I cannot find it on their site either.  If anyone knows that set please let me know, it's filled with leaves.

I rounded the corners and really did not want to add a sentiment to it.  But, I always use a sentiment, SO, I decided to use it and make a card with it, which is a first for me:

I first stamped the Hydrangea repeatedly, in a very light pink ink from Close to My Heart, all over the white notecard and then mounted the ATC with foam adhesive onto another scrap from my basket and finally adhered that to my card.  Now I had a place for my sentiment!

If you don't hear from me tomorrow it's because I have literally melted away!  It's been incessant 100F here with high humidity!  The minute you move you start perspiring!  It's unbearable!  There is supposed to be a cold front somewhere nearby...please...please cold front....move a little faster!

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Hi Brenda, I am in love with your ATC/Card. It's stunning. Those colours are perfect together as are the stamps. I think the Hero Arts set you are after is CL298 Scattered Leaves. Do some of the larger leaves have dots, text & lines? Just from looking at your ATC I think this is the set. Hope that helps.

PS I did an ATC so thanks for the inspiration.

I love the ATC as is but it sure does look pretty as the focal point on your card, Brenda!

100 degrees is way too hot for me! Stay hydrated and please don't go out running in weather like that!

I wish I was too warm, Brenda! You did a great job transforming this lovely ATC into a card (I never knew what to really do with ATC's). Love that hydrangea, too. So sweet.

Your ATC is delightful and it looks awesome on the card. Great idea to do that. Poor you, that's some hot weather. We don't get that hot here, but today was rather warm ( around 24degrees C ~75.5F ) when I went for my walk on the beach at lunchtime. Luckily the humidity isn't that high today. Just take it easy and stay in the air conditioning.
