C & S Day 3 - Stamping & Inking Techniques

What another totally fun day with the Clean & Simple Cards girls!  Today was all about different stamping and inking techniques like shadow stamping, gradient stamping, stamping on sticky labels, goodness, so much inspiration!  I went with the shadow stamping from Kristina and I also used a little trick from Jennifer.

Here is today's card:

Paper: PTI cardstock; Neenah
Ink: Hero Arts (Bubblegum & Soft Granite shadow ink); Versamark
Stamps: Hero Arts ( Delicate Leaf Clusters) : Paper Smooches (Sentiment Sampler)
Other: Pearl (Bo Bunny); MFT (Bow die)

I love that effect of the shadow stamping!

And don't you feel silly sometimes when someone does something so different and so logical and so simple with a supply you have had for a while!  Take that bow die from MFT - Jennifer basically cut up the one piece in order to make the two tails of the bow!  I totally love that look!

I just love it when I learn something new!

I may still be in time for the Hero Arts contest and this time I'm entering it for "something new", the shadow stamping!

We have been without water since last night, but it just came back on, and now we have been told that there will be a power outage tomorrow night for 5 hours!  (I have to ask myself, what on earth am I doing here!)

Wishing you all a great day!  Enjoy the little things in life, like water that actually comes out of your tap!

Wowzer, Brenda! This is one of my very favorite cards you have EVER made! And to think you are virtually camping (no water - no power!?). This is so delicate and I love that cute bow. Great card!

Brenda, I feel for you, I don't know how you managing there LOL!!! I admire you for even being there and really making it work, how frustrating, the water comes on and the power goes off. Hang in there:-)

Really great card. Makes one ask 'now why didn't I remember to use this technique'. Most of us have done it before, but we don't remember to use it!
Love the colors and the bow, just darling!

Gorgeous colors, beautiful stamping and love, love love your bow!

Glad your water is back on, Bren and I sure hope the power outage really does only last 5 hours. You'll have to try and make it a fun night with candles and flashlights. I guess it's a good thing they warned you that it was going to happen so you can be prepared! Sending hugs! :)

Hi Brenda,

Your card is gorgeous! I love it also when you discover something new & fun for card making. Such a great card.

Are you sure you don't live in Queensland! You poor thing, Brisbane (our capital about an hour south of us) has been on water restrictions due to the floods, then Bundaberg (about 2 1/2 hours north of us) is suffering from flooding it's about 8 metres high & flowing at 70kms an hour. Some of the locals here on the Sunshine coast have been without power for over a week now. Take care & I feel for you sweetie xoxoxo

Hi Brenda! This card is lovely. Your color choice is gorgeous and that bow is so cool....what a great die. I like the shadow stamping with with gray and pink...so soft and elegant at the same time. I hope that you get water soon and that your power isn't out for that long!

I LOVE this Brenda. As I'm away from home for the next 5 days, I'll get sooo behind in my homework. But in my mind I was thinking pink and grey for my shadow stamping. And now I know it will work!!!! So you are certainly passing on the inspiration...
