C & S CLASS - DAY 2

Another day jam packed with awesome inspiration!  I love CAS but sometimes "one layer" cards can be a real challenge!  And that was today's focus.  We received lots of valuable tips though and  I tried to apply some of them to my card.

I knew which two images I wanted to combine and that I wanted to do some masking again.  I just love the impact of masking!  So here is what I made for a friend of a friend:

Paper: cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Hero Arts (Soft Granite & Soft Leaf Shadow Ink); CTMH (Heavenly Blue dye ink); watercolour pencils
Stamps: Hero Arts (Heart Winged Butterfly; Three Ferns; Everyday Sayings)
Other: Washi Tape (Freckled Fawn); corner chomper

Colouring in with the watercolour pencils was a real treat.  I just really enjoyed making this card.

I used the colours for this months Hero Arts contest so I'm going to submit it as the contest ends tomorrow.

May your day be a happy one!

I love the hearts in the butterfly's wings and that gray polka dot tape is delightful! Pretty card Brenda, I need to do some masking myself, haven't done that in a while!

Beautiful masking! It is harder to do since you have to do so much fussy cutting! Excellent work, Brenda!

Fun use of these colors (which I will not even try - too difficult!). Your masking is marvelous!
