Holiday Cardmaking

This is the theme for the October Hero Arts contest, they also have some nice sketches to try out which is what I did.

I decided to try the bottom left sketch. I did use a bit of latitude, I suppose that is what sketches are about right. I just had it in my mind to play with blue and pink.

Paper: notecard (HA); Neenah; designer paper (Jillibean Soup: Christmas Eve Chowder)
Ink: Tumbled Glass & Antique Linene Distress ink; Bubblegum mid-tone chalk ink (HA)
Stamps: Hero Arts (CG461; CG324; CL343)
Other: Clear Embossing powder; dimensional squares; corner chomper

Not complicated.  I simply stamped the two background stamps in Bubblegum ink and trimmed the panel to size.  They are adhered to the designer paper with some dimensional squares.  I also added some Antique Linen around all the edges to soften the white a bit.  The sentiment is heat embossed.

I know, it's not such an exciting card, but beggars of mojo cannot be choosers, right now I am accepting any creativeness that enters my mind and fingers in the hope that my imagination will follow suite eventually!

Yesterday, during WCMD, I had my Mom, my sister and her two friends crafting at my house.  It was a nice time had by all.  I am so proud of my Mom for wanting to make her own Christmas tags, she has never crafted in her life!

I did manage to make a kind of scrappling tag card with some bits lying on the table whilst everyone else was playing.  I used a birdie from Skipping Stones Design.

I hope you all had a great WCMD yesterday and perhaps even continued into today!  (Lisa, I missed you yesterday!)
