Year of Flowers: Violet

For lack of a better post title I simply used the name of the stamp set by PTI.  A quick card I put together the other night.

Paper: cardstock (PTI); Neenah solar white; designer paper (Cosmo Cricket - Mini Deck: Tea for Two)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Copic Markers
Stamps: PTI; TCM (sentiment)
Other: pearls; dimensional adhesive; corner chomper

I felt like coloring, nothing spectacularly difficult, but I enjoyed the process. I stamped, colored and trimmed the flower twice and adhered some of the petals of the second flower using dimensional foam.

It's been a long day.  I was in my car driving up and down the same roads so many times today I think I could drive that route with my eyes closed!  Checking on the house and watching how quickly things seem to be moving now.

And this evening ended so well when my beautiful friend Lisa Skyped me (she just returned from her holiday yesterday)!  Oh boy, it was so great seeing her and chatting as if we were in the same room!

I've eventually managed to catch some Olympic sports on TV and just switched on to watch a South African take the Gold medal away from Michael Phelps in the 200m Butterfly!  I was NOT expecting that but of course I am happy.

Ok, need to get a few things done before my eyes start closing!  I hope you all have an awesome day!

Maybe not spectacularly difficult but I love it. Beauty is often be found in "simple"things. We also watched the Tv when that South African took the gold medal; woohoo!

I often think I need to color for the peace and therapy......sounds like you do, too. This is precious! Coloring is top-notch. And the paper is so garden-perfect. Violets are one of my favs, altho I am not really a flower kind of gal. It must be exciting seeing your new home take shape - it will all be worth it. Hugs!

Brenda, your flower is lovely against your background paper! Glad you had a Skype visit with your friend. We do that with our children and grandchildren - thank goodness for this type of technology :)

We are watching the Olympics also and enjoying them!

Have a beautiful day!

As soon as I saw your beautiful card I thought "an African Violet" I like these little flowers so much ;-) Is it true that they grow in the ground, just like that ?

Happy to hear you are well and that you could reconnect with your sweet Lisa
