Thinking of You Roses

When one has had a prolonged break from crafting, or perhaps anything, it's always a bit of a challenge to get back into the swing of things.  Such is the story with my card making, but I'll continue trying.

I made a clean and simple card today using Hero Arts "Patterned Hearts and Flowers" and "Everyday Sayings" as well as a bit of washi tape and pretty MME paper.

Paper: card stock (PTI); designer paper (MME - Market Street)
Ink: Memento - Rich Cocoa
Stamps: HA (CL596; CL342)
Other: Washi Tape

Without my light tent and it being close to 5pm with the sun going down, you'll have to excuse my mediocre photo.

I am thinking of my friend Lisa and missing her dearly, and my MIL and FIL, ugh, why does the USA have to be so far away!

And here are some photos of our property.  We are taking the month of July to make some changes inside the house as well as erecting a fence around the property so that my dog doesn't run away.  I just love the huge lawn, the view, the trees....so much better than concrete!

I think I'll spend a bit of time sitting on that grass and just looking out at the view.  What you see at the top there is where I should be mountain biking as soon as our shipment arrives!

I know nothing about trees or plants but I just love the look and bushiness of this tree on the side of the house.

We purchased a double lot simply because we wanted the space for our dog but also we didn't want to risk anyone building on that upper level as it has the most magnificent views to the left (I'll post a photo of that on another day).

I hope you are enjoying the remainder of your weekend!  Hugs to all!

Brenda, your card is so sweet and beautiful and you live in such a gorgeous place.... I still live where I was born and often think about you as an extremly corageous person. But I think even I could move to a place like this. I wish your beautiful house will became a warm home. Hugs!

Such a beautiful setting. You are reminding me of home and making me miss it dearly! There is NOTHING like the African sunset ( what I miss most) you must have a magnificent view from your new home. Love your card too btw :) it does not look like you are out of practice at all :)
