First Hexagon Foray!

I just had to try it out, the whole Hexagon craze!  And thanks to my beautiful friend Lisa back in Houston, who sent me the PTI Hexagon quatrefoil die, I was able to do just that.  And then there is the "Hooked on Hexagons" challenge over at Moxie Fab World!

Paper: cardstock (PTI); Neenah Solar White; Lawn Fawn (Bright Side); HA cardstock (blue)
Ink: Copic markers; Memento Tuxedo Black; PTI ink; HA chalk ink
Stamps: Hero Arts (Antique Engravings); PTI
Other: Dies (PTI); Glossy Accent; Twine (The Twinery); Dimensional adhesive

Not sure whether I did it justice, but I think it's not too shabby.  I'm also going to add this to the current challenge over at Simon Says Stamp which is "Anything Goes".

Thank you for all your well wishes for Natasha, she is back to her normal self!

Here is a picture of me at the TOP of a long hill when I went running with my hubby the other day.  That is actually a mountain bike track behind me in the shadows!

I have to admit that I was huffing and puffing by the time we reached the top!  I have not had to run a real hill for the last two and a half years (Houston is pancake flat).  It can only make me stronger!

And here is what we woke up to this morning!  God's beauty is in every pixel of this photo!

Sending you all lots of love and wishing you a really wonderful weekend!

Hi Brenda, just catching up with all the blogs I visit, I have been so busy that its been a while. I am busy next week too as my DD is coming back home to live now she has qualified. Sorry to hear Natasha has been unwell, so glad she is on the mend now. I love seeing all your photos of your new home, such a gorgeous sunrise, it seems a stunning place.

awesome card Brenda. I'm going to order a hexagon die from Die-namics soon as they really are the latest craze. You have made a very pretty card with your hexagons.

So much packed into this great post, Brenda! Love it all, too. Your card is adorable, tho I have yet to go hex! Great use of the different patterned paper. The best is the news about your sweetheart.....so glad all is well. Your running photo gives a real sense of things there (also your glam legs, girl!). And the sunset....well, it is a gift. Hugs!

Great hexagon design, Brenda! I love the contrasting colors/designs peeking out. I still have some hexagons that I cut out from PP that I got from you during our crafty weekend. Guess I should do something with them?!

So glad Natasha is feeling better! And that sunrise is absolutely gorgeous!

Love what you did with the hixie die, Brenda!

Looking how well you are doing with the hills, I am ashamed to tell you that during our vacation, I had to walk a 12% slope for about 500m and I was puffing like mad!

Hello, Brenda! So glad Natasha is feeling better! Sending her BIG hugs!

OH, your hexagon/butterfly card is simply gorgeous! The colors are fabulous, and I love the little tag! Beautifully done!

WOW...WOW...that sunrise is certainly one of God's amazing beauties!

What a wonderful photo of you at the top of the hill! I got a real chuckle at your "pancake flat" comment. I actually laughed out loud, and read it to my husband. I love your sense of humor.

Take care!
Sending you BIG HUGS, my friend!
