You are my Sunshine

Yikes, my craft room is emptying out as I have just about packed everything up for the Airfreight that is being collected tomorrow!  I am feeling a bit anxious!  What will I play with for the next 12 days?  All I have left are scraps of paper and my Copics, and some images to colour for my Copic lessons.

I was up at 3h30 again this morning and decided to just get up and go to my craft room and try to play with a stamp or two and my scraps (Lisa said that I should throw them away and not take them with, my scraps that is, she's probably right, I am going to be making another scrap pile for sure, it doesn't take long)!

So,  I landed up making 5 rather quick cards!  Unbelievable!  I'll spread them out over the next two weeks though.  Here is one for today:

Paper: cardstock (PTI); patterned paper (scraps)
Ink: Hero Arts Poppy chalk ink
Stamps: Hero Arts - Dot Flower Pattern (CG335)
Other: sentiment flag (MME)

I LOVE that Dot Flower Pattern and I LOVE Hero Arts Chalk ink!

I'm off to clean out the pool toy box and to finalise Natasha's toys for the airfreight.

Wishing you a wonderful day!

I still don't know how you are doing it - and staying so creative, too, Brenda! I worry that you aren't sleeping.....take care of yourself and your little angel. Love the softness of this card - yummy color and my favorite sentiment (my Dad used to call me "Sunshine"). Thanks!

Isn't it nice, when you can't sleep, to have something crafty to do?! Love this GORGEOUS card, Bren! Beautiful colors - yummy ribbon!

Would the art department in Natasha's school want your scraps? When I get too many of them, I take mine to the elementary school and they love it! Hugs to you as you get closer to the big move - thinking about you lots. . .

Hi, Brenda!

I love this striking "Sunshine" card you created at 3:30 am. (You should have called me, I was also awake at that time.) :-) The colors are so pretty, and I love the ribbon and sentiment!

WOW, I look forward to seeing the other 4 cards you created.

I've been thinking about you and your BIG move. Take care of yourself!

Sending you BIG HUGS!

Oh, Brenda! I think you are so corageous moving like this.... I live 3 miles from where I lived as a child and I will remain here forever.... Can`t wait to read your posts from Africa. Your card is so beautiful. Love the simple design and sentiment on the banner.

Fabulous! Love the colors and patterns! Instead of tossing those scraps, I think you should bundle them up and hide them at Lisa's :0)

It's got to be so stressful being in limbo - glad you are able to craft some of that stress away! And everyone's right - you can always hang out in Lisa's room:) I like how that bg stamp looks in yellow - very happy card!

I can imagine how stressful a time this must be for you:( I've been there. Packing up your whole life and trying to figure out what you are going to need in the mean time. With airlines now allowing less and less baggage, it does not help much either. Hope you move goes smoothly, and that you get settled in SA quickly. Hope to meet you there soon :) keep in touch ;)
Great card btw :)
