Word Shadow Stamps

As part of my 3h30 waking up time from the other day I got stuck into this Untitled Word Shadow stamp set by Hero Arts and fell in love  with it and landed up making a number of cards using it.  Here is one of those cards:

Paper: MME; Sweet Threads by BasicGrey; Neenah
Ink: Hero Arts chalk ink
Stamps: Hero Arts (AC005 Untitled Word Shadow)
Other: gem; pop dots; lace (Hobby Lobby); Scallop Circle punch (EK Success)

I don't know if any of you are like me, but I can get "anal retentive" sometimes and only see things a certain way.  And that is what happened with this stamp set since the day I got it.  I had it fixed in my mind that I needed to get a circle punch in order to be able to use the set "the way it was intended" (read: the way I was intending!).

But when I made the card, not having the right size circle punch, I realised I had the scalloped circle punch and why not try it out.  I am so glad that I did because I really like it this way.

So now I am happy, and I got to use more of my scraps!

Well, the airfreight was collected yesterday, and now I am going from room to room digging in those long forgotten drawers with long forgotten things in them and basically throwing stuff away.  Oh how I wish I could live like my MIL!  Just keep what you need and use, the rest is just "noise", hogging up precious space in one's home and ultimately  in one's life!

I cleaned out Natasha's wardrobe yesterday, again, and oh boy, someone is going to be happy to receive the huge bundle of clothes that are now way too small for her!  Gosh, they grow so quickly at this age!

And today, after trying Craig's List for months (and only getting some weird guys to respond with weird suggestions) ,  I need to make calls to some charity organizations to come and collect a beautiful cherrywood set of office furniture, it's simply too big for our new home.

I halfheartedly met Lisa at the gym this morning, both her and I have not been feeling well, some bug or other has gotten hold of us.  But we made it albeit with the least amount of enthusiasm we have ever shown!

Sorry, long post, lots on my mind.  Hugs to all of you who continue to visit me and leave me such wonderful comments that make me happy and make me smile!

Have a wonderful day!

Another pretty card from your scraps Brenda love the little bit of bling! Throwing away things can be tough, but usually you're happy with the end result! Hope you feel better soon, no fun being sick with so much to do ;)

I really like it with the scallops, too.....I've been like you, "saving" this stamp set until I get the HA frame cut to match it - what a silly thing to do! You've inspired me to get it out and stamp! Thank you!

Don't know how you are still cranking out these gems, Brenda! Love your reflections - thanks for sharing them. I know you have a million decisions to make - each item requires thought and action. That can zap you. Take care of you and your little love bug......such precious cargo for the big trip. Hugs!
