Hello Splatter

Cath over at Moxie Fab is putting together so many challenges and I have not had any time to play - it's frustrating!  I'm seeing all the beautiful creations out there from my blog friends, and nothing coming from my blog!  "Not fair" as my daughter would say!

So I quickly made a little bit of time to play with the Splatter Technique Challenge, you still have time to play, submissions are due by the 4th of June.

Here is my card, not really much to write home about, but I wanted to use this ruffled ribbon from Ribbon Boutique which I found at Hobby Lobby!

Paper: cardstock (PTI)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black; Turquoise & Coffee Shop Glimmer mist; Copics
Stamps: Technique Tuesday (Petite Posies)
Other: Ribbon (Ribbon Boutique); Gem (Joan's); Twine (PTI); Dimensional squares

Not too sure about the splatter, it's more like a mist with a few splats right?  Maybe I can give it another try.  I heat embossed the sentiment and then flicked my copics to add some more colour in the letters.

I am so excited about this weekend, Lisa and I have managed to round up Martha, Trinh and Vera to come and spend some crafty (read chatty) time with us!  I can hardly wait!  It's probably my last really relaxing weekend before I start showing signs of stress.

Have a wonderful day!

So glad that you are planning some fun crafty time, Brenda - we want a full report! Love this yummy color and that you tried this technique. It is a little to uncontrolled and messy for me, but you have handled it beautifully. Love that ribbon, too!

Hi, Brenda!

I love your Hello Splatter card! I need to try this technique. You've inspired me. The blue with kraft is one of my favorite combinations! The ribbon is the perfect finishing touch!

OH, I'm so looking forward to this weekend! :-)

BIG Hugs!
